The CNES and the PNP are organising an information and preparation meeting for the French planetological community for the return of extraterrestrial samples which will multiply in the coming years (HY2, OSIRIS-REX, MMX, ZhengHe, Shang'e 5 & 6, Mars Sample Return).

The objectives of this meeting are i) to inform a large community of the CNES involvement in these missions, of the partnerships possibly signed, by CNES with national agencies, and of the schedules of the calls for tenders,ii) and for the community to announce its intentions (response to calls for tenders) and to bring up possible needs for associated analytical instrumentation, collaboration and assistance in setting up a consortium to respond to the RFPs.

This meeting will take place on Tuesday 26 January 2021. If it is sanitary, it will be held in hybrid with 30 people present in the space room, the others present via Zoom. If sanitary conditions do not allow it, we will proceed entirely remotely. In the morning, the CNES and the actors involved will present the missions, partnerships, etc... In the afternoon, we would like one person per laboratory to present their objectives, needs and wishes for support.

The meeting will end with a discussion and a synthesis.
